Brian Finke's commentary on visual culture focuses on the range of human behavior—the authenticity and absurdity of everyday life. A stylized documentarian and trained photojournalist, Finke’s intimate approach when capturing a subject strikes at the core of contemporary American life. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Finke received a BFA in photography with a unique point of view and graphic sensibility. He is the author of several books and his first monograph was named one of the best photography books by American Photo magazine. His work has been placed in nine museum collections around the world, and he shoots for editorial clients such as National Geographic, The New Yorker, The New York Times, and commercial clients like Delta Airlines and Budweiser.
